UNC Football: Top 10 Tar Heels selected in NFL Draft since 1980

Robert Quinn (No. 14 overall, 2011 NFL Draft)
Despite losing the final two years of eligibility due to an NCAA infraction, Robert Quinn has come quite a distance in reestablishing his reputation. In 2009, Quinn had 52 tackles and led the ACC in tackles for loss with 19. He was second in the league with 11 sacks. Additionally, he had three pass breakups and was second in the ACC with six forced fumbles. He was a First-team All-ACC selection and was a Second-team All-American by CBS. He also finished second in the ACC Defensive Player of the Year voting. He was also the ACC Brian Piccolo Award winner after his freshman season.
Quinn was drafted by the Rams. In addition to the Rams, he has played for the Miami Dolphins, Dallas Cowboys and is now with the Chicago Bears. He became a starter in his second season and has not looked back. He was a Pro-Bowl player in 2013 and 2014 as well as a First Team All-Pro in 2014. In 2014, he was also recognized as the Defensive Player of the Year by the Pro Football Writer’s Association. He is currently sitting at 301 tackles, 82.5 sacks, 27 forced fumbles with three fumble recoveries. He also has 20 pass deflections and one defensive touchdown to add to his career resume.
