Watch the buzzer-beating game-winner that former UNC basketball standout Harrison Barnes hit against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday night.

After notching double-digit points in a dozen consecutive games, Sacramento Kings small forward Harrison Barnes went through an ice-cold three-game stretch in which he scored just 20 combined points on a 7-for-26 shooting performance.

But that all ended on Saturday night, as Barnes scored 16 points on a 6-for-10 night from the floor, including the game-winning three-pointer as time expired that gave the Kings a 100-98 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The difficult turn-around jumper from beyond the arc, which was Barnes’ only made three-pointer of the night out of three tries, was fired over a pair of defenders and their outstretched arms just four-tenths of a second before time expired.

As soon as the ball went through the hoop, Barnes’ teammates both on the floor and from off the bench ran to the former Tar Heel to embrace him and celebrate the narrow victory. Maybe equally as impressive as Barnes’ shot was the pass of 70-plus feet that came from veteran teammate De’Aaron Fox. He managed to hit Barnes in stride between two defenders to give the Kings an opportunity at one final shot — a shot that Barnes magnificently capitalized on.

The Kings improved to 21-25 on the season, and are currently in 11th-place of the Western Conference standings. Miraculously, though, they are just three game back of the eighth-place Dallas Mavericks for a would-be spot in the upcoming NBA Playoffs.
