The 2020-21 Atlantic Coast Conference regular season is wrapped up and it ended with the UNC Basketball program beating Duke for the second time this season. With the win, the Tar Heels ended their regular season on a positive note and improved their seeding as well.

The Tar Heels enter this week’s ACC Tournament in Greensboro as the No. 6 seed, playing their first game on Wednesday against the winner of Wake Forest and Notre Dame. Saturday’s win over Duke also helped the Tar Heels in the NCAA Tournament in terms of seeding as well.

UNC was pretty much in regardless of what happened on Saturday but beating Duke is always fun and even more fun when it can improve your NCAA Tournament seeding.

Going into this week the Tar Heels are in the tournament field for mock brackets with the chance to improve that with a deep ACC Tournament run. But where exactly do they stand in Bracketology? We take a look at the updated mock brackets going into this week.

As you can see, UNC is in the updated mock brackets and trending up in all of them except just one. That’s a good sign for UNC moving forward and a deep tournament run could even move them up to a No. 7 seed here this week.

If UNC does get bounced early, I think we will see them on that No. 10 seed line going up against a No. 7. That’s not the worst thing that could happen given where they were a few weeks back.
