Mack Brown and his UNC Football staff turned in another solid recruiting class in 2021 as they continue to build the future of the program. With that cycle complete, the focus has shifted to the 2022 class as they hope to get into the top 15 and one of the top classes in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

So far, UNC has a total of four commitments after landing Malaki Hamrick on Friday night as the four-star pledged his commitment. But Brown and his staff have a lot of targets left on their board and the class is nowhere near complete.

Over the weekend, UNC received some good news regarding a four-star offensive tackle and his recruitment.

Four-star offensive tackle Qae’shon Sapp cut his list of offers down to just 8 over the weekend as he’s set to now focus on these teams: North Carolina, Florida State, Florida, Southern Cal, South Carolina, Cincinnati, Georgia and Arkansas.

Sapp has a total of 26 offers in his recruitment but with this latest update, he’s set to focus on those eight schools moving forward.

The 6-foot-5, 340-pound offensive tackle is ranked No. 349 overall, No. 41 offensive tackle and the No. 33 player in the state of Georgia per the 247 Sports recruiting rankings. There has yet to be a crystal ball prediction for his recruitment so as of now, there really isn’t any favorite. His recruitment will certainly be one to follow however, as UNC hopes to add to their offensive line and 2022 class.
