Other offers

Nick Smith, SG 4-star

Another target that has emerged on UNC’s big board is four-star shooting guard Nick Smith out of Arkansas. Smith has a total of 18 offers in his recruitment and landed his from UNC back in December of 2020.

But like most recruits, Smith’s recruitment has been a little quiet quiet due to not being able to take official visits. However, UNC has stayed in contact and is a legit threat for Smith. The guard checks a lot of boxes in terms of fits for the Tar Heels’ including being a knock down shooter, ability to run the floor in the offense and his abilities on the defensive end.

Dylan Anderson, C 4-star

This Arizona product has an offer from North Carolina and while he may not be high on their list at the moment, he’s a recruit that could find himself at UNC. The Tar Heels are a contender for Anderson and have made some progress in his recruitment lately.

The 7-foot center could come in and try to replace the production from Day’Ron Sharpe and Armando Bacot while playing along side Walker Kessler.

De’Ante Green, PF 4-star

Green is a prospect that is flying under the radar a bit in terms of headlines and connections to UNC. He received his offer from the Tar Heels in December of 2020 but before that, he included them in his Top 10. The offer could be a recruitment-changer for Green.

He’s among the top players in the state of North Carolina and ranks just outside of the Top 100 in the 247 Sports rankings. Similar to both 2021 recruits D’Marco Dunn and Dontrez Styles, Green could be a recruit that commits to UNC and then elevates his game after.
