Freshman shuffle

This lineup is freshman dominated and is based on if these first-year players can really turn things around here in the coming weeks. We haven’t seen this starting lineup yet but it includes four freshman and one senior in Garrison Brooks.

Honestly, this would be a very interesting lineup and could be something we see in the future minus Brooks. This would give us a good look at what Roy could go with beginning next year and would work if the freshmen take the next steps in their game.

G — Caleb Love

G — R.J. Davis

G/F — Kerwin Walton

F — Garrison Brooks

F/C — Day’Ron Sharpe

Looking at the lineup, you have both freshmen guards along with Walton on the wing. Sharpe takes over at center for Bacot and Brooks provides the lone experienced player in this option.

The scoring would be a concern with the two guards in Love and Davis as both have been streaky this season but you do have a shooting threat in Walton. I wouldn’t be worried about the paint as both Brooks and Sharpe have shown they can score down there.

Do I suggest this? No. But it would be something to monitor towards the end of the year if things get out of control.
