The latest UNC Basketball recruiting news focuses on five-star recruit Jaden Bradley and his recent offer from Kentucky

The UNC Basketball program is still hoping to land a five-star recruit for their 2021 class which currently has just two players committed. Adding that five-star would be a huge boost for that class and give the Tar Heels a dynamic playmaker.

However, the Tar Heels are also keeping tabs on the 2022 class as that cycle is starting to heat up.

Arguably the top recruit on UNC’s big board for the 2022 recruiting class is five-star guard Jaden Bradley. The Florida product is one of the top players in that class ranking No. 9 overall, No. 2 point guard and the No. 4 player in the state of Florida per the 247 Sports rankings. Bradley is a dynamic scorer that would be a big get for whatever program he chooses.

Bradley currently holds 17 offers, including one from UNC but most recently he picked one up from Kentucky which could impact his recruiting. As soon as the Kentucky offer came in, the Wildcats picked up a few predictions on the 247 Sports Crystal Ball, however none from any lead experts.

The 6-foot-2, 178-pound guard recently talked about his recruitment in his Sports Illustrated blog he wrote and even talked about which schools are keeping in contact with him:

"I would have to say the schools that keep in touch with me regularly are UNC, Michigan, Tennessee, Wake Forest, Florida State, Alabama, Auburn, Kansas and a few others.I don’t really have a plan to cut anything down right now. That’s something that I have to talk over with my family when I get time. What I can say is that I’m really open to all of these schools. Whether people believe that or not it’s true."

That’s good news for UNC fans as Roy Williams and his staff continue to pursue him in hopes of landing him. However, Bradley does bring up Kentucky commit and former UNC target Skyy Clark as a player he could play alongside in the future.

With a long way to go in Bradley’s recruitment, we could be heading for another Blue Blood showdown between the Tar Heels and Wildcats for a five-star recruit. Let’s hope this one goes differently than the last.
