Former UNC Basketball standout Tony Bradley had his first double-double of the season in just his second appearance on Saturday

The 2020-21 NBA season is off and running here as the league made its return back in late December. For the UNC Basketball program, they are well represented in the league this year and if you have been following along, you have seen stories about Coby White, Cameron Johnson and Cole Anthony among others making a good impression.

But on Saturday, another former Tar Heel had a big game and recorded his first double-double of the early season.

Former big man and national champion Tony Bradley Jr. recorded his first double-double of the season in just his second appearance. With the Philadelphia 76ers short handed, they had to turn to Bradley and he delivered despite the loss. Bradley finished with 11 points and 15 total rebounds in the loss.

This was Bradley’s second appearance this season, with the other back in December against the Cleveland Cavaliers. With the 76ers down to just eight players, they had to roll with a unique rotation including Bradley in it.

The former Tar Heel was drafted by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft and spent three seasons there. In the 2020 offseason, Bradley was traded not once but twice in a matter of a week. He was first traded to Detroit and then sent from the Pistons to the Philadelphia 76ers.

With the 76ers hoping to contend in the Eastern Conference, Bradley has fallen down on their depth chart due to the depth in the paint. But in this weird season, he may have a chance to earn some key minutes and make a difference especially if he takes advantage of the opportunities.
