UNC Basketball: Reggie Bullock comes up big in Knicks’ win over Cavs
Former UNC basketball sharpshooter Reggie Bullock played a major role in the New York Knicks’ win over the undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday night.
New York Knicks small forward Reggie Bullock had his best game of the young season on Tuesday night when he scored 17 points and hit five three-pointers in a 95-85 victory over the formerly undefeated Cleveland Cavaliers.
Bullock knocked down 6-of-13 shots for the game, including an impressive 5-for-9 mark from three-point range. He also had seven rebounds, a block and a steal in a season-high 41 minutes of play. He and Julius Randle (28 points, 12 rebounds, 11 assists) accounted for better than 47 percent of the Knicks’ scoring against the youth-laden Cavs.
For Bullock, it’s his second game of the season scoring in double-figures, but just the first that he’s shot over 40 percent from the floor. It was also his best performance from long-range this season, as he matched his three-game total for three-point makes in just four quarters.
It’s a promising start for Bullock considering that he scored 17 or more points on just one occasion in 29 appearances for the Knicks last season. His five made three-pointers also match his game-high from a season ago. Additionally, his seven rebounds against the Cavs are two better than he had in any one game during the 2019-20 season.
Bullock and the Knicks will take the court again on December 31 when they travel north for a New Year’s Eve matchup with the Toronto Raptors.
