The UNC Basketball program has climbed up two spots in the latest AP Top 25 poll that was released on Monday afternoon

The first week of the 2020-21 college basketball season is in the books as the UNC Basketball program opened up their campaign with a big victory over College of Charleston last Wednesday.

While UNC played just one game in the first five days of the season, things will ramp up a bit here beginning on Monday as they play in the Maui Invitational. This year’s event is a little different as it’s been moved from Maui to Asheville, North Carolina due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But the field stayed the same and could present some interesting matchups for the Tar Heels.

When UNC opens up their tournament on Monday against UNLV, they will do so inside the Top 15.

The Tar Heels moved up two spots in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll from No. 16 to No. 14 with their season-opening win. Although UNC didn’t move up into the Top 10, they have the chance this week to continue to climb if they can win the Maui Invite.
