The UNC Basketball program appears to have a new target on their recruiting board for the 2022 class as they are in pursuit of this center

Roy Williams and his recruiting board for the UNC Basketball program in the 2022 class is starting to shape up a little more.

North Carolina is still in pursuit of players in the 2022 class but have yet to receive a verbal commitment from a recruit. They most recently missed out on five-star guard Skyy Clark but do have four active offers out to prospects. However, they may have a new target in their sights from that class.

Four-star center Brandon White is becoming a legit target for Williams and his staff in this 2022 class and the latest comments from the recruit prove that. White recently spoke with Jacob Polachek of Zag’s Blog to provide an update on his recruitment here in November.

In the interview, White revealed that the Tar Heels are the team that is contacting him the most over time:

"“They call me almost every week,” he said in a phone interview Sunday evening. “They call every Thursday or Friday around 3 p.m.”“I like the way they develop their bigs. They’ve had multiple guys go to the draft. Most of their bigs either go overseas or are drafted.”"

That’s an interesting note as the Tar Heels appear to be seriously interested in landing White for their 2022 class. While UNC hasn’t offered the four-star prospect out of Spencer, North Carolina he does expect one soon:

"North Carolina is yet to extend an offer to White, but he says he expects one eventually.“They’re just trying to be patient and give it a little more time,” he said. “They already said they would, so I’m just waiting.”"

The 6-foot-10, 205-pound center is ranked as the No. 110 overall recruit, No. 13 center and No. 2 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247 Sports recruiting rankings. He has only 7 offers so far but recently his recruitment has gone up a notch.

Spencer is entering his junior season at North Rowan and has the chance to really up his stock over the next year or so. The question now is when will UNC officially offer?
