Danny Green could be on the move again as the former UNC Basketball standout has been the talks of a potential trade

Former UNC Basketball standout and three-time NBA Champion Danny Green could find himself on the move once again.

With just a few days until the start of the 2020 NBA Draft and then free agency two days after that, the offseason will start to heat up. That includes potential trades and free-agent moves.

One player that could be moved and was linked to a possible trade is Green. On Sunday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Oklahoma City Thunder were looking to move guard Dennis Schroeder and the Los Angeles Lakers were in talks to acquire him.

In that trade, Green would be the piece moving over to the Thunder according to the report:

If Green is indeed traded in the coming days, it would be his third team in as many years as he spent time in Toronto winning the title in 2019 and then joined the Lakers in 2020, winning the title with them. However, while Oklahoma City as a playoff team they appear to be in more of a rebuild mode and aren’t considered a contender yet.

Green has averaged 8.9 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.6 assists per game over the course of his 11-year NBA career. He’s also shot 40 percent from the three-point line over the course of his career and has been one of the best long-range shooters in the league.

It will be interesting to see what happens over the next few days with this trade.
