With the loss to Virginia, the UNC Football program falls out of the AP Top 25 poll for the first time this season as they have two losses.

The UNC Football program lost their second game of the season on Saturday, as they were tricked by Virginia on a Halloween road loss. The loss dropped UNC to fifth place in the Atlantic Coast Conference with two losses but it also had a big impact on their national ranking.

Going into the game, UNC was ranked No. 15 with their 4-1 record. Now they enter Rivalry Week against Duke unranked.

The Tar Heels fell out of the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll on Sunday with that loss to Virginia. This is the first time all year that the Tar Heels are out of the polls, disappointment after the expectations for this team going into the year.

Despite dropping out, the Tar Heels did receive 92 votes behind only Northwestern (106) and Louisiana-Lafayette (101) as teams unranked. A win against Duke on Saturday might get them back into the polls, however the PAC-12 is set to return which hurts the Tar Heels.

What UNC can do now is just put together a win streak and hope they can find their way back into the polls.  They still have a path to the ACC Championship but need to win out and have Clemson beat Notre Dame on Saturday.

The ACC had a total of three teams ranked in the polls with Clemson taking the top spot followed by No. 4 Notre Dame and No. 11 Miami.
