Class of 2021 UNC basketball target Harrison Ingram will announce his college decision on Friday. The 5-star small forward is deciding between Harvard, Howard, Michigan, North Carolina, Purdue and Stanford.

Roy Williams and the North Carolina Tar Heels are hoping to add a valuable piece to their 2021 recruiting class on Friday when 5-star small forward Harrison Ingram announces his college decision. Joining North Carolina on Ingram’s list of finalists are Harvard, Howard, Michigan, Purdue and Stanford.

A 6-foot-7, 210-pound senior from St. Mark’s High School, Ingram is one of the most dynamic wings in the nation, and would be a tremendous addition to any of the six finalists on his list. He’s got versatility that will allow him to play multiple positions at the college level, along with formidable size for his position. He can create mismatches on both ends of the floor with his considerable strength and length, and he’s got a good motor. He’s a good ball-handler, distributor and rebounder, and plays above-average defense.

Purdue and Stanford appear to be the prohibitive favorites in Ingram’s recruitment, and that’s been the case for quite some time. There aren’t many predictions from analysts and insiders on 247Sports or Rivals, but the ones that are out there reflect the aforementioned. It’s by no means a done deal, but don’t be shocked if Ingram commits to the Boilermakers or Cardinal.

My guess is that Ingram ends up in Palo Alto with Jerod Haase and the Cardinal. If he does, it’ll mark the second consecutive season that Haase, a former assistant coach at North Carolina, has beaten out Roy Williams and the Tar Heels for a 5-star wing (Ziaire Williams).

Ingram is ranked 11th in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite. He’s a top-5 player at his position, and first in the state of Texas. He’s ranked 16th in the ESPN100, and ninth in the Rivals150.
