This top UNC Basketball recruiting target for the 2022 class is set to cut his list down to three teams later this week, providing a big update to his recruitment.

While Roy Williams and his UNC Basketball staff continue to work on their 2021 recruiting class, the Tar Heels are also getting started on the 2022 cycle. UNC has just a few offers out to prospects in the 2022 recruiting class, which will change as time goes on, but already they have identified one of their top targets.

And that top target is set to trim his recruiting list down this week.

Five-star guard Skyy Clark received an offer from UNC on July 1st and since then, his recruitment has moved quickly. He narrowed his list down to just eight finalists including the Tar Heels and now he’s ready to cut that list again.

The 6-foot-3, 200-pound Clark is ranked as the No. 15 overall recruit in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings and the No. 3 player at his position.

Clark holds offers from North Carolina, Arizona ,Kansas, Kentucky, UCLA, Michigan, Indiana, and Oregon. It’s been reported that the Kentucky Wildcats were the favorites in his recruitment going into the Summer but things may have changed with that offer from UNC.

We already wrote on Rivals’ analyst Corey Evans predicting that he ends up at UNC or at the very least, the Tar Heels land Clark OR Hunter Sallis. That should ring good news to UNC fan’s ears when it comes to adding a five-star player to their backcourt.

It would be shocking not to see UNC or Kentucky on Clark’s Top 3 on Thursday and we fully expect the two programs to go head-to-head for this recruit.
