The start times for the first two games of the 2020 UNC Football season have officially been announced with just over 10 days away

With the calendar officially flipping to the moth of September, that means the 2020 college football season is just around the corner. We are just 11 days away until the start of the new season and the UNC Football program enters with high expectations.

After a 7-6 season a year ago that was capped off by their first bowl victory since the 2013 campaign, the Tar Heels return a lot of starters plus a Top 30 recruiting class. Despite the unusual offseason that we have had, the Tar Heels are ramping up for their 11-game schedule which features 10 games against the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The first matchup on the season for the Tar Heels is set for September 12th, a Saturday in which they will host Syracuse to begin the campaign. On Tuesday, the conference officially revealed the kickoff times for the first two games of the season.

Week 1 will kickoff at Noon EST in Chapel Hill and will be played on the ACC Network. In Week 2, the Tar Heels will stay at home and play their lone non-conference game of the year and take on Charlotte with a 3:30 p.m. EST kickoff on September 19th.

After the first few weeks, UNC’s schedule will get tougher. In the month of October, UNC will play at Boston College, at home vs. Virginia Tech and on the road at Florida State. They also play NC State and Virginia in that month.

Their toughest stretch will be the final two games of the year when they host Notre Dame on the Friday after Thanksgiving and then travel to Miami to take on the Hurricanes in the final week.

The times for the remaining games will be announced at a future date.
