Former UNC Basketball standout Danny Green ended his slump with an impressive Game 4 on Monday.

There is no secret that the NBA bubble hasn’t been friendly to Los Lakers starter Danny Green with recent struggles behind the three point line, but last night with emotions high the former Tar Heel fan favorite made it known his shot is still there.

Green shined on an emotional Kobe Bryant night where the Lakers wore Nike Black Mamba jerseys with 2 inside a heart patch to represent the late great Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi Bryant who lives were sadly lost back in January.  His 14 points helped the Lakers dominate Game 4 and grab a 2-1 series lead over the Blazers.

So far, Green hasn’t been able to find his groove in the NBA’s bubble, struggling to find his shot and make an impact at all. But that may have changed on Monday night.

Green has been criticized for his recent struggles in the bubble, especially after Portland took a 1-0 lead last week. On Monday, Green went 5-for-8 from the field, including 3-for-4 from the three-point line finishing 14 points with a +29 in 25 minutes of play last night for the Lakers. Green, who has been on many championship-caliber teams, is a veteran that the Lakers will continue to depend on as the playoffs continue.

To catch Green light it up on the court again you can watch Game 5 of the series on Wednesday with a tipoff set for 9 p.m. EDT on TNT The Lakers will hope  to clinch the series and move on to the next round.
