4. 2018-19 (29-7)

The 2019 UNC basketball team was loaded with talent. Future NBA players Coby White and Cameron Johnson led the team, but the rest of the squad was just as exceptional. Luke Maye was the third option, and Nassir Little was a defensive force.

This team was exciting, electric, and they knew how to compete with the best of the best. This group defeated eight ranked teams during the regular season including wins over No. 1 Duke, No. 4 Gonzaga, No. 4 Duke, No. 10 Virginia Tech, and No. 15 Louisville.

This team was full of competitors who just appeared to have so much fun playing together, making it much more enjoyable for their fan base.

UNC was the 2-seed in the ACC Tournament, and made it to the semifinals where they lost to Duke by one point. They were a  1-seed in the NCAA tournament, and made it to the Sweet Sixteen where their season ended prematurely.

The only part of this season that had any substantial disappointment was the finish. A team with title hopes was exploited by an Auburn squad that would make it all the way to the Final Four.
