The 2014-15 Tar Heels were another Marcus Paige-led team. This group saw regular season and postseason success, making them a very memorable team. They weren’t exceptional in the regular season, as they finished fifth in the ACC standings, but they still had major wins over No. 3 Virginia, No. 5 Louisville, and No. 12 Ohio State.

Where this group separated themselves is beyond the regular season. Although being just a 5-seed, they reached the ACC Championship before falling short to an extremely talented Notre Dame team that was led by Pat Connaughton and Jerian Grant.

The Tar Heels entered the NCAA Tournament as a 4-seed, and advanced two rounds before falling to the eventual national runner up, Wisconsin.

This team was exciting because they competed with the country’s top talent all year long, and defeated six teams ranked in the top 25 during the regular season. The emergence of Brice Johnson also made this North Carolina team must-see TV whenever the Heels were going to battle.
