3. Miami Hurricanes (Road)

The next opponent on the list is the Miami Hurricanes under head coach Manny Diaz.

The  Hurricanes are looking to bring the ‘U’ back, but in order to do that they will look to seek revenge after losing to the Tar Heels 28-25 last season. Since their first matchup in 1946 the Hurricanes and Heels have met 21 times with Miami winning 11 out of 21 times. Carolina will have a chance to not only even the record between the two, but snag another win over the Hurricanes under the Mack Brown era.

The Hurricanes went 6-7 while going 4-4 in the conference. Miami did have some bright spots. Despite inconsistent play, their defense played extremely well allowing only 20 points per game which ranked 23rd out of 130 last season.

Miami did lose some amazing talent to the draft like Shaquille Quarterman and Deejay Dallas, but added some top 4 star recruits like Avantae Williams, Chantz Williams, and Jaylan Knighton who will help the Hurricanes bring that spark back.

This could be an intense one, but expect the Heels try and get out to an early start to control any sparks the Hurricanes bring.
