4. Virginia Tech (Home)

Next on the list, another revenge game for the Heels and fans: The Virginia Tech Hokies led by head coach Justin Fuente.

Virginia Tech will be a huge bump in the road for the Heels as they pave their path to the ACC championship. The Hokies, who finished 2nd in the ACC and beat the Heels in a heartbreaking 6 over-time thriller 43-41, will have quarterback stand out Hendon Hooker back to lead their offense.

This will be a game that could truly change the outcome of the Heels season depending on when it happens. The Hokies are currently riding a 4 game win streak against Carolina with the last two games between the two being a margin loss of 5 points combined.

A huge loss however for VT will be defensive back and projected first-round pick Caleb Farley, who led the team in interceptions with 4 and pass deflections with 12, has decided to opt out of the 2020 season due to coronavirus concerns. A huge blow to their defense, which could help open up passing opportunities, making that the key point in a Heels victory over a very tough and well balanced Virginia Tech team.

Snapping the 4-game losing streak will be much boosted confidence for the Heels and their ACC Championship hopes.
