9. Boston College (Road)

Next up is the Boston College Eagles on the road for the second-easiest team Carolina will have to lace up against, led by head coach Jeff Hafley.

After the firing of Steve Addazio for mediocre seasons from 2013-2019 Boston College went with Hafley who is expected to change the culture especially on the defensive side of the ball. Hafley is a defensive-minded head coach brings his coaching experience from Ohio State University where he was named 2019 defensive coordinator of the year.

Boston College will be a true road test for Carolina when they meet up. Boston College was an inconsistent team that struggled heavily on defense allowing 32.2  points per game ranking 101 out of 130 teams. Boston College ended up with a 6-7 overall record while going 4-4 in conference, going point for point with Louisville, ultimately losing 41-39.

This matchup favors the Heels as Boston College had moments of great offensive play, but their lackluster defense caused them losses despite averaging 29 points per game. Boston College will lose some of that offensive spark with the loss of NFL drafted Aj Dillion who rushed for 1685 yards, 195 receiving yards, and had a combined 15 touchdowns.

This should be an easy road win for the Heels defense with tackling machine Chazz Surratt leading, but with Hafley being a defensive minded head coach this game could be a low scoring affair.
