UNC Football: Tar Heels make cut for 4-star DT
By Zack Pearson
The UNC Football program made the cut for this four-star defensive tackles’ Top 10 list that he announced a few days back
Mack Brown and his UNC Football program are still in pursuit of some big recruits for their 2021 recruiting class that currently ranks in the Top 10
After five-star Tony Grimes opted to enroll early, UNC’s class dropped out of the Top 4 and is now ranked No. 9. The Tar Heels have 17 total commitments in the class and officially sent out their offers to recruits just a few days back.
To start the month of August, UNC did receive some good news in terms of them sticking in the race for a four-star defensive tackle.
Alabama native Tim Keenan made an update to his recruitment on Friday, cutting his list of 19 offers down to his Top 10 programs. Landing in Keenan’s Top 10 are: North Carolina, Tennessee, Oregon, LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Nebraska, Ole Miss, Georgia Tech and UAB.

Keenan is ranked as the No. 327 overall player, No. 19 at his position and the No. 10 player in the state of Alabama per 247 Sports.
As you see above, there are a lot of SEC programs fighting to land Keenan with a pair of ACC schools, one Big Ten school and UAB. The Tar Heels are a contender right now but they might have some work to do to catch up with some of these programs.
Keenan’s recruitment will be one to watch as we move forward.
