Colin Moran

Next up on our list is another Pittsburgh Pirate and absolute hitting machine while at Carolina playing in 2011, and 2012: Colin Moran.

Moran was known for his high batting percentage while at Carolina with .365 in 2012 which was also the team’s high. He was truly one Tar Heel who fans couldn’t stop cheering for.

That same 2012 season Moran had 30 runs scored, 35RBI, 3 home runs, 1 triple, and 11 doubles. He also had amazing accolades many coming his freshman year where he won Perfect Game Freshman Hitter Of The Year, Baseball American Freshman Of The Year, and Baseball American First-Team All-Freshman, just to name a few. Moran got drafted in 2013 with the 6th overall pick by the Miami Marlins then would get traded to the Houston Astros where he would play for 2 season before getting traded to the team he’s on now, the Pittsburgh Pirates.

As Moran continues to find his swing in the MLB his growth as a player has surely risen to the occasion.
