A big target for the UNC Football program has made an update to his recruitment, cutting his list down to six teams as he’s ready to commit

The UNC Football program received some great news over the weekend when three-star outside linebacker Trevion Stevenson pledged his commitment to the program.

A former Pitt recruit, Stevenson decommitted from the Panthers and then just a few weeks later joined the 2021 class for the Tar Heels. The commitment was significant for a Tar Heels’ defense that missed out on targets Zaire Patterson and George Wilson over the past few months.

But now they could add another big defensive player to their class.

Four-star defensive tackle Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins has had an interesting recruitment so far and on Tuesday, he provided a key update. Ingram-Dawkins announced his updated list of top teams in his recruitment listing North Carolina, Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, Virginia Tech and Tennessee as the six schools he will be focusing on.

Ingram-Dawkins was set to make his announcement and commit in late June but decided not to make his commitment and delay it even further. Now with this update, Ingram-Dawkins is hinting that he’s ready to make a decision very soon, likely within the month.

The South Carolina native is ranked as the No. 285th overall player, No. 17 DT and the No. 1 player in the state of North Carolina per the 247 Sports recruiting rankings. He would be a big get for the Tar Heels which already has an impressive class ranked in the the Top 10.

Next. A four-star DE will walk on to UNC's Basketball team. dark
