A North Carolina Basketball target has looked impressive in a South Carolina Tournament this weekend according to some analysts

Yes, there is high school Summer basketball going on right now.

This weekend, the state of South Carolina is hosting an AAU Tournament titled Big Shots in Myrle Beach despite a COVID-19 pandemic sweeping the country. The state has been hard hit with cases but this one of the only live sporting events going on in the country and the organizers figured the event should go on.

With that, a few North Carolina targets are participating in the four-day event that began Thursday and ends on Sunday. Four-star guard D’Marco Dunn is the big UNC target playing in this event as he is rostered on Garner West.

Early on in this tournament, Dunn has impressed so far with his team going 3-1 in the event and second in Pool A after two days. Dunn has caught the attention of national recruiting analyst Paul Biancardi with his play so far:

In the four games, Dunn has scored 6, 17,17 and 10 in those games and had a much better showing in Friday’s session.

Going into this tournament, Dunn was ranked No. 70 overall in the 247 Sports Composite rankings and No. 2 player in North Carolina and the No. 14 shooting guard in the country.

He has a total of 18 offers so far but the two that really stand out have come over the past few months from North Carolina and Arizona. Dunn moved from Arizona to North Carolina and since then, his stock has climbed a bit. We could be coming down to a two-team race when it’s all said and done.
