Scholarship Offers (7)

Not counting Styles or five-star Paolo Banchero, the Tar Heels have a total of seven active offers out in the 2021 recruiting class. They are as follows with their final list updates in parenthesis:

  • 5-star PG Kennedy Chandler (Top 5)
  • 5-star SG Trevor Keels
  • 4-star SG D’Marco Dunn
  • 5-star SF Patrick Baldwin Jr. (Top 10)
  • 5-star SF Harrison Ingram (Top 10)
  • 5-star C Chet Holmgren (Top 7)
  • 5-star CG Hunter Sallis

The Tar Heels have made the final list for the four prospects who have made updates so far in their recruitment. Sallis, Dunn and Keels will all eventually cut their lists, likely this Summer and it would be shocking not to see the Tar Heels on those lists.

For now, it appears as if the Tar Heels are content with this group of seven as they really haven’t offered many scholarships in the past few months. That could change as they could move in on some recruits later on in the cycle. That probably wouldn’t happen until November or later as the recruiting world kind of opens up with players committing.

The other thing to keep an eye on is what players could potentially return for the 2021-22 season, opening up scholarships. Five-star guard Caleb Love would be the most likely player to be a one-and-done but Armando Bacot could also leave after his second season with the program.
