Where does the UNC Basketball program stand with their class of 2021 targets? We identify the Tar Heels recruiting big board

After turning in a Top 3 class for 2020, the UNC Basketball program hopes to build on that and deliver in 2021.

The focus has shifted to that 2021 class for Roy Williams and his staff as the Tar Heels have offers out to a few prospects. By now, UNC has identified their top targets and are in pursuit as we sit here in July.

But with the recruiting dead period still going on with the NCAA, things have been a little difficult for coaches.

Travel has been prohibited for coaches and recruits, really putting a wrench in things. In addition, there have not been any live evaluation periods this Summer with camps or AAU Tournaments and it doesn’t appear there will be any. The hope is that live evaluation periods can take place at the end of the Summer and into early Fall, but even then that’s a big stretch.

The Tar Heels are serious contenders for a few recruits but for others, they have their work cut out for them on the recruiting trail. Let’s dig deeper into the 2021 recruiting board for UNC and break down where things stand as of now.
