A UNC Basketball five-star target talked about the schools that contacted him in a recent Sports Illustrated blog post

Five-star combo guard Skyy Clark is one of the top players in the class of 2022 and is already a hot recruiting target for schools in the cycle.

With coaches having the ability to contact players as much as they want starting last Monday, Skyy received a lot of calls from programs interested. Among them was the North Carolina Tar Heels as we wrote on Roy Williams and his staff talking to Clark earlier in the week.

UNC has yet to offer the combo guard but that doesn’t mean much right now as the program has just one offer out to a recruit in 2022 with Jaden Bradley being that lone player. The offers will start to come from the Tar Heels and it’s likely Clark receives one from the program.

However, they weren’t the only ones contacting him in this recruiting period as several other programs including some Blue Bloods made a call.

In Clark’s recruiting blog with Sports Illustrated, the recruit recently published a post that broke down his last couple of weeks and included some notes about his recruitment. Clark listed some teams he heard from so far over the past week, including the Tar Heels:

"I’ve heard from a lot of schools like North Carolina, Duke, Kentucky, DePaul, TCU, Stanford, Florida State, BYU, Penn and others. It’s all a blessing to me. I feel honored when any school hits me up. It’s a blessing to be in a position where coaches want you at their school. I’ve been working really hard to stay ready and improve my game."

As you see in the quote above, Clark has heard from top schools like UNC, Duke and Kentucky while Stanford, BYU, Penn, Florida State, TCU and DePaul among others have also reached out to the guard.

His recruitment will continue to heat up as he has a total of 19 offers including from Arizona, Gonzaga, Indiana, UCLA, Kansas, Michigan and more. If the Tar Heels want to win out on this recruitment, they are going to have to battle some tough competition and start making Clark a priority.
