The UNC Football program is hoping to land another big recruit for their 2021 class and they now have the official details on the announcement

It’s been a bit quiet for the North Carolina football program over the past few weeks, not landing a commitment in their 2021 recruiting class in a month. But that could change later on this week.

Mack Brown and his staff have more targets left on their board for the 2021 class that currently ranks No. 5 overall per 247 Sports.  They have the chance to add to that class from now until National Signing Day in February.

One of those offers is to four-star defensive end Jahvaree Ritzie, an in-state prospect out of Kernersville. Ritzie originally announced that he would be making his verbal commitment on June 12th. Now as decision day approaches, Ritzie has released the official details for his announcement:

As you see above, the Tar Heels will know their fate for the four-star defensive end on Friday night. Ritzie will pick between North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia and Ohio State, an impressive list of finalists.

The defensive end is ranked No. 142 overall, No. 12 at his position and No. 7 in the state of North Carolina per 247 Sports.

Going into this recruitment, the Tar Heels do appear to be the favorites. They have landed all seven Crystal Ball predictions on 247 Sports including from top analyst Steve Wiltfong. His high school teammate and close friend, Raneiria Dillworth, committed to North Carolina back in April, another good sign for the Tar Heels’ chances.
