UNC Basketball center Armando Bacot has been working out with a former Tar Heel big man and that should be good news for the Tar Heels

While it was a disappointing season in 2019-20 for the North Carolina Tar Heels, there were some positive signs to move forward with. Among them is the potential of freshman Armando Bacot.

The center got off to a slow start in his first season with the Tar Heels but as the year went on, Bacot showed signs of improvement.

At 6-foot-10 and 232-pounds, Bacot played alongside Garrison Brooks in the paint and served as the center while Brooks played more of a forward role. He improved offensively and was very good defensively throughout his freshman season.

Now as we prepare for the upcoming season this Fall, Bacot is a candidate to break out and take a big step forward in his career. Already, Bacot is starting to put in some hard work and has teamed up with a former UNC standout along the way.

A video posted on Twitter from @CoachBigHouse showed both Bacot and Ed Davis working out together:

Davis played two seasons at North Carolina and like Bacot, started off slow in his first year with the Tar Heels. However, he took a big step in his sophomore season and averaged 13.4 points, 9.6 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game. All of those numbers were an increase from the previous year for the forward.

Bacot averaged 9.6 points, 8.3 rebounds and 1.1 blocks per game in his freshman year. If he can take  another step forward in his sophomore season, UNC should be in good hands.
