Another UNC Football commit has been selected to play in the Under Armour All-American Game for 2021, joining two teammates

While the North Carolina Tar Heels will enter this season with quarterback Sam Howell at the helm, the future is still very bright at the position.

Howell has two years of eligibility left following a fantastic freshman season. But once he does leave the program, UNC will welcome in another big recruit at the position.

Quarterback Drake Maye flipped his commitment from Alabama to North Carolina back in March giving the Tar Heels a four-star player and their highest-ranked recruit in the 2021 class. Drake will follow in his father’s footsteps of playing quarterback at North Carolina as well as his brother Luke who starred for the basketball program.

But before Drake hits campus next Summer, he’s already earning some recognition.

On Saturday, Maye announced that he was selected to play in the  2021 Under Armour All American Game:

Maye is the third UNC commit in the 2021 class to be selected to play in the game joining future teammates Keeshawn Silver and Raneiria Dillworth.

Maye, Silver and Dillworth are just three of the 15 players committed in the 2021 class which is ranked No. 4 overall and No. 2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference per 247 Sports. While UNC is off to a hot start in that recruiting class, they still have the opportunity to add more players to the class and potentially finish with a top 5 class when the cycle is completed.
