Mack Brown, UNC football program extend scholarship offer to 4-star offensive lineman

Mack Brown and the North Carolina Tar Heels have already secured one of the nation’s top recruiting hauls for the class of 2021, and likely one of the best in UNC history by the time all is said and done.

That recruiting haul includes ten 4-star prospects, and 14 recruits that rank among the top-40 in the state of North Carolina. It’s currently ranked fourth in the nation behind only Ohio State, Tennessee and Clemson, and just ahead of USC, Florida, Michigan and LSU.

None of that has stopped Brown and the UNC coaching staff, however, from keeping their collective foot on the gas. Even through the NCAA’s recruiting dead period brought on by the worldwide coronavirus pandemic, they’ve continued to tirelessly recruit players from the 2021 class and beyond.

One of those is class of 2022 offensive tackle Fisher Anderson. The 6-foot-6, 257-pound lineman from Franklin, Tennessee is already holding scholarship offers from better than a dozen schools. Florida, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia Tech  are among them, and there are sure to be many more by the time his recruitment is over.

The Tar Heels joined Anderson’s list of schools on Monday, and the Franklin High School senior announced the news via Twitter later that afternoon. Anderson is not yet ranked in the 247Sports Composite, but the Top247 pegs him as the No. 23 offensive tackle in the nation, and sixth in the state of Tennessee. His 90 rating makes him a 4-star prospect, and one that will likely gain a lot of attention on the recruiting circuit over the next year.

Next. UNC QB Sam Howell will be special in 2020. dark

There’s currently no timetable for a decision from Anderson. Stick with Keeping It Heel for more on his recruitment, and everything UNC football.
