Will the UNC Football program land a big commitment from a three-star wide receiver this week? His decision date has been revealed.

The North Carolina Tar Heels turned in a Top 20 recruiting class for 2020 and now they are hoping to build on that for the 2021 class.

Mack Brown and his staff currently have the No. 3 ranked class for 2021 and are hoping to add to that in the coming weeks. A few different targets are set to make their college decisions here at the end of May and into early June and UNC could add even more to their already solid class.

Just a few weeks ago, three-star wide receiver J.J. Jones announced he would be signing later on this Summer on his birthday. But sometime between then and now, he has changed his mind and instead has pushed up his decision.

Jones announced just over a week ago that he will now commit this week instead. On Monday, The Big Spur which covers South Carolina wrote on Jones’s decision and revealed that the receiver will indeed commit this Friday.

That’s significant news for the Tar Heels as it appears as if Jones has made up his mind and is ready to commit, which should favor North Carolina. Going into this decision, the Tar Heels have picked up 83 percent of the Crystal Ball predictions on 247 Sports, leading South Carolina who has 13 percent.

The Crystal Ball predictor is not a guarantee but UNC has earned the prediction from lead analyst Steve Wiltfong.
