Roy Williams and the UNC basketball program have offered a scholarship to a top-100 in state prospect from the class of 2021.

North Carolina head coach Roy Williams has extended a scholarship offer to D’Marco Dunn, a top-100 shooting guard in the class of 2021. Dunn confirmed the news to Inside Carolina on Sunday afternoon.

Dunn is a 6-foot-4, 180-pound senior at Westover High School in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He and his family moved to the East Coast from Tucson, Arizona prior to his junior season, and he quickly established himself as the leader of a Westover squad that recorded a perfect 30-0 record. According to Maxpreps, Dunn averaged 20.4 points, 7.2 rebounds two assists and 2.7 steals per game. He also shot 45 percent from three-point range.

He’s already holding 15 scholarship offers, and more will undoubtedly come in over the course of his senior season. Offers from Clemson, Houston, Marquette, Maryland, Wichita State and Xavier highlight his growing list of schools. He’s also received interest from Arizona, New Mexico, Texas Tech, UCLA and Virginia Tech.

Dunn has a smooth, high release from three-point range that helps him knock down a good percentage of his shots beyond the arc. He’s improving as a ball handler, and can hit shots from mid-range. He’s got speed in the open court, and runs the floor well on the fast break. He’ll also drive the lane, and finish strong in the paint from time to time.

"“I feel like I do a bit of everything,” Dunn told 247Sports. “I shoot the ball well and make the right play for my team. I’m working on my handle, and getting my body more college ready.”"

He’s only ranked 142nd overall according to the 247Sports Composite, but the Top247 places him at No. 90 in the class of 2021.
