By Zack Pearson
We take a look at where 2020 UNC Basketball targets rank in the final 247 Sports rankings of the year including one player moving into the Top 10
That’s a wrap for the North Carolina Tar Heels’ 2020 basketball recruiting class, turning in a six-man class that is among the best in the country. And it comes at a much-needed time.
Roy Williams and his staff have put together an impressive class for the 2020 circuit and did so coming off their worst season in the head coaches’ time at UNC. The Tar Heels were going to miss out on the NCAA Tournament this year before it was cancelled and really struggled to a 14-19 overall record and a 6-14 record in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
But brighter days are ahead for the program and it starts with this 2020 recruiting class.
On Wednesday, 247 Sports released their updated and final rankings for the 2020 recruiting class, putting a close on that cycle and focusing on 2021. Of the Tar Heels six recruits, three moved up in the rankings while three moved down.
The biggest mover was guard Caleb Love who jumped into the Top 10 to No. 6, up 15 spots from his previous ranking. Love is now the second-best point guard in the 2020 recruiting class behind only Cade Cunningham.
Take a look at where the Tar Heels’ recruits are ranked in the final 247 rankings:
- No. 6 Caleb Love (Prev. 21)
- No. 20 Day’Ron Sharpe (Prev. 18)
- No. 25 Walter Kessler (Prev. 13)
- No. 53 R.J. Davis (Prev. 70)
- No. 62 Donovan “Puff” Johnson (Prev. 41)
- No. 91 Kerwin Walton (Prev. 141)
