Jason Strowbridge is selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 154th pick, making him the second UNC football player claimed in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Former University of North Carolina defensive end Jason Strowbridge was selected in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, 154th overall by the Miami Dolphins. Strowbridge is the second Tar Heel taken in this year’s draft, and the 240th in program history. He’s the 19th UNC football player selected in the fifth round of the draft, and fifth in the history of the Dolphins organization.

"“Ever since I was a little boy, I dreamed of playing in the NFL,” Strowbridge said. “I’ve gone through a lot of highs and lows on my journey, but it’s all been worth it to get to this point. I’m now in a position to play the game I love professionally and have an opportunity to take care of my family, which is really important to me. I can’t thank the Miami Dolphins franchise enough for selecting me. I’m going to give you everything I have and will work to fulfill the potential you see in me.”"
