The UNC Football program has landed another football recruit in their 2021 recruiting class. This time it’s a four-star running back.

This recruiting quiet period hasn’t slowed down Mack Brown and his staff from landing some recruits.

Just a few weeks ago, North Carolina lander two athletes to add to their 2021 football recruiting class giving them 11 total commitments and the No. 4 overall class. On Friday night they added another.

North Carolina earned a verbal commitment from four-star running back Kamarro Edmonds as he pledged his verbal via a post on Twitter:

Edmonds becomes the 12th player to commit to North Carolina and is the latest four-star commit to join the class. With the addition of Edmonds, North Carolina’s 2021 class climbs to No. 3 overall and stays at No. 2 in the Atlantic Coast Conference.

The 5-foot-11, 200-pound Havelock native is ranked as a four-star recruit in the 2021 class and is No. 273 overall, No.17 running back and No. 16 in the state of North Carolina. He’s the latest in-state prospect to commit to UNC which has been a big priority for Brown and his staff. he had a total of 16 offers and picked UNC over NC State, Louisville, Missouri, Wake Forest and South Carolina among others.

The commitment also comes a week after UNC saw running back targets Evan Pryor and TreVeyon Henderson both commit to Ohio State. UNC now has their first true running back for the 2021 class committed.
