Former UNC Basketball standout Michael Jordan is in the finals of ESPN’s greatest players bracket as it all ends on Tuesday

It wasn’t shocking to see Michael Jordan appear as a No. 2 seed on ESPN’s bracket of the greatest college basketball players of all-time. It’s also not shocking to see him in the finals either.

Jordan was one of 64 men and women college basketball players that made the cut in ESPN’s bracket that was released last week. He earned the No. 2 seed in a tough Midwest Region and found himself in the Final Four after taking down No. 12 Stephen Curry over the weekend in the Elite 8.

The Midwest Region also featured Bill Walton, Cheryl Miller and David Thompson.

After beating Magic Johnson in the Final Four, Jordan is now up against Larry Bird for the chance to be named the best college basketball player in history. To vote for Jordan, check out the tweet below:

The final results will be revealed on Tuesday’s SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt at 10:45 p.m. EST. on ESPN.

Playing three seasons at North Carolina, Jordan won the John Wooden Award (1983-84), Naismith Award (1983-84), the Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year award (1983-94) and was named a consensus First Team All-American in both 1983 and 1984. Oh, he also hit the game winning jumper to beat Georgetown in the 1982 National Championship as a freshman.

While there hasn’t been live sports, it’s segments like this that have helped pass the time during this COVID-19 pandemic.
