Mack Brown and his UNC Football program has picked up another Crystal Ball prediction in their favor for a three-star defensive back in 2021

The North Carolina Tar Heels’ football program is off to a great start with their 2021 recruiting class as Mack Brown and his staff are hoping it can be a historic one.

As it stands now, UNC’s 2021 class is ranked No. 4 overall per 247 Sports as they have 11 players committed to their class. There’s a long way to go in the recruiting cycle and while we are in a quiet period until at last Mid-April, there has been some significant news with a few recruits.

The latest is related to a three-star defensive back that is out of Alexandria, Virginia and has the Tar Heels in his top schools. Defensive back Bryce Steele is expected to make his decision next month and the Tar Heels are the early favorites to land him.

On Monday, the Tar Heels picked up another Crystal Ball prediction for Steele and now have all five predictions on 247 Sports. The latest comes from 247 Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn on Monday morning. Dohn is 16 for 16 in his predictions this year and has picked the Tar Heels to land Steele when he announces in just over 20 days.

Steele is ranked as the No. 356 ranked player overall, No. 27 athlete and No. 9 player in the state of Virginia per 247 Sports.

While Steele would be considered a Virginia prospect, he’s originally from North Carolina and moved from Raleigh to Virginia just a few years back. Brown and his staff have prioritized landing the top in-state talent for their classes and 2021 hasn’t been an exception.
