UNC Football: Tar Heels add three-star athlete to 2021 class
By Zack Pearson
The UNC Football program picks up another commitment in the 2021 football recruiting class on Tuesday night. Adding to their great start.
It might be a quiet period for recruiting across the NCAA but the North Carolina Tar Heels are adding another piece to their 2021 recruiting class.
On Tuesday, the Tar Heels picked up another commitment in what is already an impressive 2021 recruiting class when three-star athlete Tymir Brown announced his verbal commitment to the program. Brown took to Twitter to post a message officially announcing his commitment for the Tar Heels.
Here is what Brown posted:
The 5-foot-10, 166-pound Brown is a native of Jacksonville, North Carolina and is ranked No. 362 overall and No. 21 in the state of North Carolina in the 247 Sports recruiting rankings. He has a total of 13 offers in his recruitment but in the end picked North Carolina over his other nine finalists: East Carolina, N.C. State, South Carolina, West Virginia, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest, Duke, and Appalachian State.
Brown is the tenth player to commit to the Tar Heels 2021 class with nine of those players coming from the state of North Carolina. That has been a big focal point for Mack Brown and his staff since he took over.
UNC’s class is now ranked No. 4 in the 247 Sports rankings and while there is a long way to go, the Tar Heels are off to a heck of a start with no signs of slowing down anytime soon.
