UNC Football: 5-star RB TreVeyon Henderson releases top-9 list on Twitter
5-star UNC football target TreVeyon Henderson announces top-9 list via Twitter on Monday night
5-star class of 2021 running back and North Carolina recruiting target, TreVeyon Henderson, announced his top nine teams in a Twitter post on Monday night. The 5-foot-11, 195-pound speedster from Hopewell, Virginia is ranked 17th in the nation according to the 247Sports Composite, and he’s the Tar Heels’ top backfield prospect in next year’s class.
One of the most sought after rushers in the country, Henderson’s list now consists of Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Penn State, Texas, Virginia and Virginia Tech. He was holding better than three-dozen scholarship offers to begin with, and eliminated the likes of Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M and USC.

Henderson was the Gatorade Virginia Player of the Year in 2019, helping Hopewell High School to a 15-0 record and the Virginia Class 3 state championship. He’s an impressive athlete with quick feet, and the ability to change directions on a dime. He’s got good vision, maneuvers through the backfield and line of scrimmage with patience, and accelerates well in the open field — he’s got a 10.94 100-meter time. Henderson will, without a doubt, be a difference-maker for whatever program he chooses at the next level.
Keeping It Heel will continue to follow the TreVeyon Henderson recruitment, and provide updates when they become available. Check back for more on Henderson, the recruiting class of 2021 and everything UNC football.
