A 2020 UNC Basketball recruit has reached a big scoring milestone during a playoff win on Saturday night in Missouri

With pro sports being shut down for at least the next few weeks and potentially months including college basketball, we could see the same for high school sports as well. And it’s coming at a time where many states are in their playoffs.

For North Carolina commit Caleb Love, he may have just played in his final high school basketball game of his career before heading to Chapel Hill this Summer as part of the Tar Heels’ impressive 2020 recruiting class.

Love led Christian Brothers’ College to a 62-53 victory in a Class 5 boys basketball quarterfinal on Saturday night and in doing so, he reached a big milestone. The guard scored 24 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and 3 steals in the win and reached the 2,000-point milestone for his career in the second half.

The win advanced Christian brothers College to the Missouri State semifinals and are scheduled to take on Kickapoo on Friday. As of this weekend, the Missouri State High School Activities Association hasn’t cancelled the state basketball tournament and if the games are played this week, they will be the only state to do so.

That decision should be made sometime this week and Love will know for sure if he’s played in his final high school game or not.

Love has put together an impressive senior season and has become one of the best scoring guards in the country. He’s currently ranked as a five-star recruit and No. 18 overall player in the 2020 class by 247 Sports. He’s one of three five-star recruits that is committed to UNC in the 2020 recruiting class.

Next. Is UNC still in the running for this four-star guard?. dark
