The UNC Football program has landed yet another recruit in the 2021 recruiting class, earning a commitment from a four-star offensive tackle

It appears as if Drake Maye’s commitment to North Carolina on Friday has set off a domino effect for the program. The Tar Heels football program is in the middle of a three-day streak where they have added three players to their 2021 recruiting class, beginning with Maye’s commitment on Friday afternoon.

On Saturday, UNC received a verbal commitment from four-star wide receiver Kobe Paysour as he became the eighth player tp join the 2021 class. Well, now you can make it nine.

Four-star offensive tackle Eli Sutton offered his verbal commitment to North Carolina on Sunday afternoon, joining UNC’s stacked 2021 recruiting class. Sutton posted this message on Twitter Sunday to make the announcement:

The 6-foot-7, 285-pound offensive tackle is the ninth player to commit to North Carolina but is the first out-of-state prospect to join the class. Sutton plays his high school football at Brentwood Academy in Brentwood, Tennessee.

As a four-star recruit, Sutton is ranked No. 168 overall in the 2021 class, the No. 21 offensive tackle and No. 4 player in the state of Tennessee by 247 Sports. He picked the Tar Heels over Duke, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Miami, Northwestern, and Penn State.

With the commitment of Sutton on Sunday, the Tar Heels 2021 class is now ranked No. 4 overall in the 247 Sports Composite rankings. Their class is led by Maye who is ranked inside the Top 100 but they have a total of eight four-star players. There’s still a long way to go in this recruiting cycle but the Tar Heels are off to a heck of a start.
