UNC Basketball head coach Roy Williams visited a five-star forward in the 2021 recruiting class on Tuesday night as he hit the recruiting trail

After another heartbreaking loss to Notre Dame that extended North Carolina’s losing streak to five games, head coach Roy Williams set out on the recruiting trail.

With a 2020 class that is ranked No. 3 overall, the future appears bright in Chapel Hill after what has been a very disappointing season. UNC will welcome in a five-player class that has three five-star recruits and two four-star recruits and they have the chance to possibly add another recruit.

But Williams wasn’t checking in on a 2020 recruit while he was on the recruiting trail. Instead, he was focusing on the 2021 recruiting class as he was in to visit five-star forward Patrick Baldwin.

Williams was joined by assistant Steve Robinson in Milwaukee as they watched Baldwin score 32 points and grab 17 rebounds:

Baldwin is ranked as the No. 3 overall player in the 2021 recruiting class by 247 Sports and has a total of 20 offers including one from UNC. But the Tar Heels will have to battle some top programs if they want to land Baldwin.

The forward also has recruits from Duke, Kansas, and Kentucky among others. In-state Marquette and Wisconsin have also offered the recruit.

As it stands now, Duke leads the Crystal Ball predictions on 247 Sports for Baldwin holding all 7 predictions from the experts.
