UNC Basketball head coach Roy Williams hits the recruiting trail on Wednesday afternoon to visit a five-star recruiting target

The North Carolina Tar Heels suffered their fourth-straight loss and fell to last place in the Atlantic Coast Conference with their loss to Wake Forest on Tuesday night. Things aren’t going great this season as UNC will miss out on the NCAA Tournament barring a miracle.

But hope is on the way.

Head coach Roy Williams and his staff have a Top 3 recruiting class for 2020 and are hard at work on the 2021 class. Following the loss, Williams got right back on the recruiting trail and flew to Dallas to watch a five-star prospect in 2021.

Per Jake Weingarten of StockRisers, Williams and an assistant are in Dallas on Wednesday afternoon to visit with prospect Harrison Ingram:

The move comes just a few days after Ingram was in Chapel Hill for his unofficial visit last weekend, taking in the UNC and Duke matchup on Saturday and then staying for the rest of the weekend.

Ingram is ranked as the No. 16 overall prospect by 247 Sports and holds 21 offers in his recruitment so far. The Tar Heels have yet to offer Ingram in his recruitment but with the two visits in one week, that should change very soon.

Williams has kept tabs on Ingram as well as a few other key 2021 recruiting targets including Kennedy Chandler, Paolo Banchero, and Chet Holmgren among others. All three have offers as does Patrick Baldwin and Ingram could be next in that line.
