We take a look at where some 2022 UNC Basketball recruiting targets rank in the updated class rankings by 247 Sports

The North Carolina Tar Heels will welcome in a Top 3 recruiting class for the 2020 cycle next season after a disappointing 2019-20 college basketball season. With a few games left, it’s very unlikely UNC will be playing in the NCAA Tournament and their NIT Tournament chances are slipping away as well.

Even with a Top 3 class in 2020, the Tar Heels have some work to do in both the 2021 and 2022 classes which will be crucial to the future success of the program. UNC has been more involved with 2021, sending out some offers to top recruits.

But in 2022 they have still been a little active.

UNC has a few targets currently in the 2022 class and has shown interest in a few early on during this cycle. On Tuesday, 247 Sports released their updated 2022 rankings for prospects in that class including a few UNC targets.

The top UNC target on that list, Jaden Bradley, checks in at No. 12 and is fresh off an unofficial visit from Saturday’s game against Duke. The five-star took in that game and was able to check out UNC’s campus a bit.

Bradley doesn’t have an offer from UNC but there is certainly interest there. It should be only a matter of time before he lands one.

As for a player that reportedly has an offer, Caleb Houstan checks in at No. 17 on this updated list of rankings. We say reportedly because it hasn’t officially been announced and there was as story on UNC commit Day’Ron Sharpe’s Instagram that hinted Houstan has an offer.

If that’s true, Houstan is the first player to receive an offer from UNC in this class. The five-star small forward plays with Sharpe at Montverde and has moved up two spots in the updated rankings. He’s also rated as a top 10 player in the Composite Rankings.
