UNC Football will host another Junior Day this weekend on campus and their top target in the 2021 class will be in attendance

The North Carolina Tar Heels’ football program hosted several recruits last weekend on campus for their Junior Day and it led to a commitment in the form of four-star inside linebacker Power Echols, who became the third member of their 2021 recruiting class.

Coming off an impressive 2020 class, Mack Brown and his staff are hoping to bring in another big recruiting class as the future landscape of the program looks very bright. One of the top targets for UNC on their 2021 recruiting board is five-star defensive tackle Payton Page.

The Greensboro native currently plays at Dudley High School and is ranked No. 6 overall by 247 Sports and the top player in the state of North Carolina. He recently cut his list down to seven teams and included the Tar Heels in that.

On Saturday, Page will be on North Carolina’s campus as UNC hosts another big Junior Day:

While Page recently cut his list down to seven teams, North Carolina has some tough competition for this big in-state recruit. Clemson appears to be the favorites to land him and those chances increased after they earned a commitment from Page’s friend and the No. 1 player in the class, Korey Foreman.

Still don’t count the Tar Heels out just yet and they will have their chance to impress him this weekend in Chapel Hill.
