UNC Basketball senior Brandon Robinson set a new career-high in points in the Tar Heels’ big win over Miami on Saturday afternoon in the Dean Dome

The losing streak is finally over for the North Carolina Tar Heels.

With the win over Miami on Saturday in the Dean Dome, the Tar Heels ended their five-game losing streak and did so in large part to senior Brandon Robinson’s career night. After missing Wednesday’s game at Virginia Tech, Robinson returned and had one of the best games of his four-year career at North Carolina.

Robinson finished the game with 29 points, two more than his previous career high of 27 that he set just two weeks ago in the loss to Clemson. The senior made 11 of his 16 attempts from the field including 6 of 10 from the three-point line.

It was clear UNC was missing Robinson’s production on Wednesday night despite the team holding a late lead on the road before losing in double-overtime. Having him back for Saturday’s game was huge and helped UNC score 94 points, the most in any game so far this season.

Things clicked early on for the Tar Heels in this one. They jumped out to a big lead over Miami on what would be a historic day as Roy Williams passed Dean Smith on the all-time wins list at home.

With the losing streak now over and Robinson appearing healthy, the Tar Heels are now awaiting the return of star freshman Cole Anthony to salvage any hope they have for the season.
