The UNC Football program sets the date and time for the annual spring game at Kenan Memorial Stadium in a few months

College football is set to crown a new champion on Monday night as LSU and Clemson duke it out for the right to be called College Football Playoff Champions in New Orleans. But before we know it, a new season will be here.

While it’s a long offseason and we still have over 200 days left until the start of the 2020 season in September, the annual Spring Game will give us our first look at Mack Brown’s team that is coming off a 7-6 season and a big bowl win.

On Sunday, the Tar Heels announced some big details for the Spring Game as it will take place on Saturday, April 18 at 3 p.m.:

This will be the second-straight year the Tar Heels will host the Spring Game after not hosting one in 2018 under Larry Fedora.

Last season, the Spring Game gave us our first look at some key players including freshman quarterback Sam Howell who went on to win the starting job. This season will be a little different as the Tar Heels are coming off a season in which they showed a lot of promise and capped it off with their first bowl win since 2013.

The Tar Heels will return most of their starters on offense and defense as well welcoming in a Top 20 recruiting class that was Brown’s first true class in his second stint. More details on the game will be released leading up to the event.
